Get in touch →Beachburg Fibrefest brings together spinners, weavers, felters, knitters, and anyone who is curious about where fibre comes from and where it can go. Held at the Beachburg Agricultural Society fairgrounds — home of the annual Beachburg Fair since 1857 — the festival honours the deep textile traditions of the Ottawa Valley.
Whether you're an experienced artisan or picking up a spindle for the first time, there is something here for you: hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, a fibre and textile vendor market, agricultural heritage displays, and animal encounters with the animals behind the fleece.
Guild members demonstrate spinning, tapestry creation, and felting throughout the day. Watch fibre transform from raw fleece to finished textile in real time.
A curated fibre, textile, artisan vendor show, and farmers market featuring local and regional makers. Find hand-dyed yarn, hand-spun fibre, local produce, tools, kits, and one-of-a-kind handmade goods.
Instructor-led workshops for all skill levels. Past workshops have included basket weaving, spinning basics, and more. 2026 lineup coming soon.
Flax threshing, fleece shearing, and field-to-fibre demonstrations connect textile craft to its agricultural roots in the Ottawa Valley.
Meet the animals whose fleece makes it all possible — alpacas and sheep on site throughout the day.
Locally made crafts, art, and goods from the Whitewater Region and broader Ottawa Valley community, alongside the fibre and textile vendor show.
Workshops run on Sunday, September 20th. Instructors and full details for the 2026 season are being confirmed — check back soon or get on the list to be notified when registration opens.
